The 2026 Father’s Day Fishing Competition brings the crew back together — fathers, sons, daughters, mates and families — for a full day on the water.

This is more than a fishing competition.

It is about:

Fishing
Crabbing
Prawning
Camping
Four-wheel-driving
Outdoor cooking
Mental health and wellbeing
Connection between generations

COMPETITION DETAILS

Fishing Tag Collection

• Collect your fishing tag from 5:00am at the Pirate Gazebo
• No tags issued before 5:00am

Entry Requirements

For your fish or crab to qualify:

• Species must be placed on a brag mat
• Official fishing token must be clearly visible on the brag mat
• A clear photo must be taken showing measurement and token
• Photo must be sent to the committee for validation

No entries accepted after 12:00 noon sharp.

All competitors must return to the Pirate Gazebos by 12:00 noon.

Clear rules. Fair competition.

$1,500 IN MAJOR PRIZES

Each category winner receives a Fishing Prize Pack valued at $300
(rods, reels and quality fishing gear).

Whiting – $300 Prize Pack
Bream – $300 Prize Pack
Flathead – $300 Prize Pack
Snapper – $300 Prize Pack
Mud Crab – $300 Prize Pack

Runner-up prizes also awarded.

Plus raffles and sponsor prize packs on the day.

From 12:00pm – 1:30pm

• Live band entertainment
• Community sausage sizzle

Local Members of Parliament will be present to assist in awarding prizes.
