Quartet by Ronald Harwood
Directed by Mel Paszkowski
Ronald Harwood's Quartet is an uplifting comedy that explores themes of aging, creativity, companionship and the enduring power of art. Four former opera singers converge at Beecham House, a retirement home for musicians filled with echoes of past glories. As the four navigate their shared history, rekindle old tensions, and rediscover the joy of performing, they decide to reunite to perform the quartet from Verdi's Rigoletto for the home's annual gala. But personal insecurities, unresolved grievances, and the challenges of age threaten the performance, even before it has begun.
