This meeting will feature a presentation by Sabrina Cruz entitled "Bridging Science & Energy: Trauma, the Nervous System, and the 7 Chakras"

Modern trauma neurobiology and the ancient 7-chakra system might seem like two completely different worlds, but they tell a surprisingly similar story about how the body holds stress. In this brief talk, Sabrina Cruz, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Yoga Teacher, and Reiki Master, breaks down where these two worlds overlap. We'll look at how nervous system responses (like fight, flight, freeze, or shutdown) mirror different chakra states, giving you a fresh perspective on how body tension and energy connect. Whether you’re a clinician, an energy practitioner, or simply Reiki-curious, all are welcome! This presentation is for psychoeducational and community-building purposes only and does not constitute clinical treatment or individual medical advice.

Sabrina Cruz (she/her), LCSW, QS, RYT, Reiki-Master is an EMDR-Trained Therapist, Qualified Supervisor, energy healer, and mentor. She helps you connect deeper to your body, let your voice be heard, and know your needs matter. Her work focuses on helping clients heal from people-pleasing, burnout, and childhood trauma. Her approach to EMDR therapy integrates spirituality into every step of the healing process, weaving together multiple modalities to support your healing from the inside out. She expands clinical frameworks using the chakra system to understand where trauma has disrupted energy and how we can restore flow to your entire system.
