- **Event Description**: UPDATE on the planned group ride will be on Saturday the 19th July . It’s around 250km ( around 170km dirt ) from Tolga RTN . Meeting at Lenny Street Cafe 800 if you want to eat , 830 coffee and 900 departure. I have designed this as an easy ADV ride “ Good for BIG ADV bikes or riders with not much experience. If we rate this ride “ say a 5 is the hardest and 1 the easiest “ it’s a 1 to a 2 in a few spots , a 2WD car could do most of it . 
Brake out areas 
There are two areas you can depart the ride if you need to get back early “ or just under the thumb “���. 
1. From Tolga to Petford it’s around 100km ( this is close to we’re we will have a stop and something to eat if you bring a snack with you ) - So those that need to depart can make their way back to Mareeba on Asphalt around 1000. 
2. Petford to Mt Garnet around 70km we’re will have lunch , also those that need to depart can head back from there on asphalt. 
Final leg � 
3. Mt Garnet to Irvinebank via Silver Valley and across back to Herberton and Atherton etc . A fantastic loop ride . 
Stuff to bring :
1. A can of beer each or a 2 dollar coin ( 5 if you feeling generous ���) it’s a surprise so don’t ask . 
2. Water / bottle of camel back 
3. A snack - Muesli bar etc - for morning tea on the trail. 
4 . Full tank of fuel 
5. Well maintained bike 
6. You own recovery plan , I have a bike trailer but not a 4WD . 
7. Basic First aid kit 
( I know this is common knowledge for most but some in-experienced may attend.
