Each month, one park will be home to the hidden golden acorn. We’ll release weekly clues here and on the event page to help you narrow down its secret location. Find it, snap a photo, and submit it by emailing the photo to Conservation@LinnCountyIowa.gov to be entered into a prize basket drawing!

Clue #1: In this park, brave people may climb to the top for a beautiful view & a river with a lengthy name, flows through.    

Clue #2: Through the woods and along the trail that is named for an animal that balances with its tail.   

Clue #3: Hear the calming sound, play and splash, but remember to look around!

Clue #4 (final clue): The golden acorn’s view is quite unique, you'll "fall" in love with it too if you take a peek. 

Find the golden acorn (don't move it), snap a photo of the acorn at the location, and send it to Conservation@LinnCountyIowa.gov now through July 31 to be entered in the month's prize basket drawing. We'll contact the winner in early August.
