- **Event Description**: We have had a long streak of southern (to Tokyo) hikes - now let's do some hiking in the Chichibu area.  We will start on the Seibu-Ikebukuro Line Express (for Hanno) at 8:35 arriving at Hanno station at 9:24am where we will switch to the Seibu-Chichibu Line (for Seibu-Chichibu) departing at 9:32am and our jump off point will be Ashigakubo at 10:15.  

The trail features a fruit tree park village where seasonal fruits bear fruit, a mountain flower path where we can see clusters of katakuri and wild grass, and a forest. We will experience a view from the observation deck at the top of the mountain.

The height we will reach will be around 960 meters high with ups and downs along the way (Takao-san was 599meters high).  The path from the peak will be a bit steep climb down so bring your hiking stick/s.  We will return via the same station we came.

As per usual, you are responsible for your own decision to hike and also your own safety along the way. Things to bring are lunch, 2 liters of water, sunscreen, HIKING STICK/s, boots with a good sole, hat etc.  Please let me know if you are coming.
