- **Event Description**: What better way to bring in the New Year than with a woodfired sauna immersed in nature? Set beside the pond at historic Gibson Mill, you’ll sauna by fire, wood, steam and stones, surrounded by bird life and ancient woodland. 

Off-grid and offline this is a unique opportunity to restore and revitalise in the most glorious of settings. Outdoor sauna is a complete physical and mental reset and you’ll emerge feeling clear, expansive and awake.

The pathway to the sauna is wood-lined and undulating, filled with sounds of birds and the river, with far reaching views across treetops and along the valley. Traditionally the pathway to the sauna is an important part of the ritual as you prepare to leave daily routine behind and enter the liminal space of the sauna. Your return journey along the path will feel quite different. And so will you!

Sessions run at 10:30, 11:35,12:40, 13:45

Pond dipping is for wild life only. A cold shower hose and tin bath are to hand for hot and cold cycles or you can simply sit and cool off outside.

Toilets are on-site and the café will be selling a selection of sandwiches, cakes and hot and cold drinks for post-sauna refreshment.  

PARKING 

Cash only! From Midgehole Road car park, walk along the main path to Gibson Mill. You'll need to bring sturdy shoes, allow around 30 - 45 minutes for this, and remember it’s part of the experience!

From Clough Hole Car Park it's around a 15 minute walk - (note: route is steep from Clough Hole)

Sat Nav: Use HX7 7AZ for Clough Hole Car Park and use HX7 7AA for Midgehole Car Park. Look out for the National Trust signs. There is some distance between the two. There is a 2m barrier on Clough Hole.

Only disabled badge holders are allowed to park at Gibson Mill (please email after booking

Parking: Free to National Trust Members or £5 for 4 hours. Car sharing is advised.
