- **Event Name**: Fall Bird Walk with Wendy
- **Event Start and End Date**: Mon, 14 Sep, 2026 at 08:30 am – Mon, 14 Sep, 2026 at 10:30 am (-05:00)
- **Event Description**: Are you interested in bird watching or are you a seasoned veteran at the hobby? We hope this hike will illustrate the changes that occur in our bird species that are in the area around Wickiup during this transitional period. Under normal circumstances we would expect to see Neotropical songbirds migrating through as well as a diverse group of warblers. Accompanying you on the hike will be Naturalist Chuck Ungs and Wendy Van De Walle, a long-time birder who works as a part-time Avian Biologist for an environmental consulting company. Wendy will share how to use EBird application to keep track of your bird sightings.

Participants should plan for muddy trails and for possible briars and thorns should one wander off trail. This hike is in partnership with the Iowa Ornithologists Union.
