Players will remain in allocated divisions, but handicaps will be adjusted daily.Rules: The competition will be held in accordance with the R&A Rules of Golf.Local rules will be on display on the notice board at the rear of the Pro Shop.Trophies: The NSW/VGA trophies will be played over 54 holes. All players can only win 1 daily prize in addition to a 54-hole prize.Starting Times: Shotgun start at 8am Friday September 4th & a 2 tee start Monday, Tuesday & Thursday.Extreme Weather: The Club has an extreme weather policy which will be available at the Pro Shop if requested.In the event of extreme/bad weather, IF the need for play is to be called off and abandonment of play for the day, a refund of $25.00 will be offered to all players for that round only.Presentations: Will be conducted at the Presentation Lunch at the conclusion of play on the Friday. The Committee: The Tournament Committee reserves the right to change any of the conditions of play if necessary.*All veteran golfers participating in the NSWVGA Shield must be members of the NSWVGA.Registration in person required daily at the Pro Shop twenty (20) minutes prior to your tee time.All Refunds will incur a $5.00 administration fee and NO refunds will be administered once entries close and draw made.Awarding of TrophiesIt is the aim of NSWVGA to have the biggest spread of trophies as possible. Major trophy winners are excluded from daily grade events. They win the trophy with the greater value, which normally will be the 36 or 54 hole events. If the NSWVGA event is a stand-alone 18-hole event, then scenario 2 as outlined below applies.Order of Presentation for 18, 36 and 54-Hole EventsThis applies where the presentation is conducted at the conclusion of the event. There are variations to this presentation depending on if the NSWVGA Trophy is the main 36/54-hole event or if it is an 18-hole event that is a stand-alone event.Scenario 1If the event is a 36 hole/54-hole event, then follow the set up below.1. Determine 36/54 hole Nett/Gross trophy recipients, Runners Up and Second Runners Up. Eliminate from all other events.2. Determine Day 1 winner each grade Eliminate from all other events3. Determine Day 2 winner each grade Eliminate from all other events4. Determine Day 3 winner each grade Eliminate from all other events5. Determine days 1,2 and 3 runners up Eliminate from all other events6. Determine days 1,2 and 3 second runners up.Scenario 2If the NSWVGA trophy is an 18-hole event, held in conjunction with a 36/54 hole event, then this does not affect a player winning the 36/54 hole event overall and scenario 1 would apply to the distribution of trophies for the 36/54 hole event, however on the day of the NSWVGA event the overall winner receives the NSWVGA Shield and is not entitled to win any other grade trophies associated with the days play.
