- **Event Description**: The drum and rattle are a part of native heritage from tribal cultures all over the world.
   In this workshop, you will be supplied with everything you need to create your choice of a Frame Drum with accompanying Beater or a Rattle.
   Alan and Jaime will teach you the care and feeding of your drum or rattle, as well as how to use them in healing and cleansing ceremonies. 
   The day will begin with a brief Sound Journey offered by Alan and Jaime, during which you can connect to the Heartbeat of the Drum and Rattle.
    Next, you begin creating your instruments.
   Once your instruments are created (and if preferred) decorated, we will celebrate their birth with a special ceremony.
   There will be music and drumming throughout the day.




SELECT YOUR CHOICE OF DRUM or RATTLE

Cost & Materials to Build a DRUM:
$270 includes 16” diameter Elk or Deer and Maple drum with a fringed drum beater. 
$290 includes 18" diameter Elk or Deer and Maple drum with a fringed drum beater. 
$310 includes 20” diameter Elk or Deer and Maple drum with a fringed drum beater.

Cost & Materials to Build a RATTLE:
$180 includes Elk hide for rattle head, rattle fill, stitching and stick handle

NOTE * If you have some special beads or feathers, you're welcome to bring them to decorate and personalize your instrument.
