Kelly Kohler Benefit

Kelly Kohler who has been a long time community member and a huge pillar in our community was diagnosed with Metastatic gastric adenocarcinoma (Stage IV). It is an aggressive malignancy. This cancer originates in the stomach lining and spreads (metastasizes) to other areas in the body. Treatment for metastatic disease is aimed at controlling progression and managing symptoms, rather than a cure.
Immunotherapy and chemotherapy are common cancer treatments. Bother use drugs to stop the cancer from growing, but they achieve this in different ways. Immunotherapy enhances the immune system so it can target cancer cells. Chemotherapy directly acts on cancer cells, preventing them from replicating.
Kelly is currently doing both. He has also had a few injections for white blood count and platelets to keep levels where they need to be so that he can receive treatment. All of these are very costly and will be on going. If you can help in anyway, we would greatly appreciate it.
