The ABAC Concert Choir performing the Fauré Requiem in d minor, op. 48

After losing both of his parents in the 1880s, Fauré set out to compose a beautiful, serene setting of the Catholic Mass. He achieved this through flowing, peaceful melodic lines and rich tone colors reflective of Fauré’s musical style. It is the goal of the ABAC Choir and special guests to reflect the composer’s vision of hope, peace, and tranquility through their performance of this work.

This event will be held in Howard Auditorium on the main ABAC campus. Performances in the First Tuesday series are free and open to the public with no ticket required.
