Soak It In: Herbal Baths, Steams, Compresses & More

Sometimes the best medicine goes on your skin, not in your mouth.

Let’s get steamy, splashy, and a little messy—in the name of herbal healing! In this immersive class, we’ll explore external herbal applications like poultices, compresses, fomentations, steams, washes, and therapeutic baths. These tried-and-true remedies are often overlooked, but they’re powerful tools for pain relief, inflammation, skin health, respiratory support, and more.

You’ll learn when and how to use each technique, what herbs work best for different conditions, and how to safely apply herbs to the body for maximum effect. To wrap up the class, we’ll roll up our pant legs and enjoy a therapeutic herbal foot bath while we talk through practical applications and answer questions. Students leave with recipes, detailed handouts, and a make-and-take remedy to continue the experience at home. Come ready to soak it in—literally!
