?Explore the LRCA McKenzie Point Conservation Area and find artistic inspiration in the beautiful setting. The area features a granite outcrop with visible glacial striations and views of Lake Superior. Exposed shoreline for bird observation. 32 plant observations on INaturalist. ?‍? Join for a post creation potluck!

?️Details about McKenzie Point: Inspiration at the water's edge is only ~83 m from the parking lot. Site is approx. ¼ acre in size. Uneven rock surface and worn pathways through vegetation to large rock outcrop. Option of a hike of approx. 600 m along graveled rail bed trail to mouth of MacKenzie River and rail bridge. Uneven steep rocky climb to granite outcrop close to fast moving water (dependent on water levels) featuring small eddies and waterfalls. Small accessible beach on other side of rail way bridge crossing of high elevation, open ties.
