Fused Glass Cactus

Have you ever wanted a plant that couldn’t die? Here’s your chance!

Make up to 5 glass cacti for your own 4” pot. No green thumb required!

Additional cacti can be made for $5.00 each.

This class will cover glass cutting techniques and the basics of fused glass. No experience is required; all tools, materials, and equipment will be supplied.

For safety reasons, long pants and closed toe shoes must be worn. Please be aware that grinders will be used in this class, making noise that some participants find uncomfortable.

Limited noise protection will be available, and participants are encouraged to bring their own protection for maximum comfort. After the workshop the glass will be kiln-fired and assembled with the pot, floral foam, and gravel. You will be able to pick up your finished artwork at the Canvas & Clay storefront, and you'll be able to rearrange the cacti to your heart's content!

Skill level: Beginner

Ages: 10+

This is a family-friendly event. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
