- **Event Description**: Consortium Aurora Borealis Concert Saturday, February 21, 2026TAMARACK WIND QUINTET IN CONCERTThis fine ensemble, made up of the Section wind players of the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra, will enchant with a specially-curated programme of colourful, dynamic sounds in a variety of moods. The music is virtuosic, emotional, and incorporates a diverse array of musical styles and influences. It includes Samuel Barber's ‘Summer Music’, which has become a staple of the wind quintet repertoire.The ensemble has been performing in Thunder Bay and throughout Northwestern Ontario for the past two decades, appearing on local concert series, self-presenting a number of projects backed by grants, as well as performing education and outreach concerts for countless classrooms around the region.
