Aroland First Nation, Animbiigoo Zaagi'igan Anishinaabek, Ginoogaming First Nation and Minodahmun Development are proud to launch the Readiness & Essential Skills for Employment Training (RESET) Program. The RESET Program aims to maximize First Nation Employment in Greenstone Gold Mines (GGM) by providing training on wide variety of job types. This is the first phase of a multi-year training program that aims to help Ginoogaming, Aroland and AZA members obtain quality and high paying employment with GGM or support businesses.

Introduction to Construction Trades & Essential Skills

Extended community member delivery (sessions in AFN and GFN as well)

Location: Confederation College, Thunder Bay
Date: Nov. 9 – Dec. 18, 2020 (6-week course)

• Support participants in making informed career decisions related to GGM job opportunities
• Find the right career for you
• Focus on general and skilled trades associated with industrial construction
• Career paths include (but are not limited to): Carpenter, Concrete Erector/Finisher,
Construction Craft Worker, Millwright, Electrician, Ironworker, Heavy Equipment Operator,
Plumber, Instrumentation, Mechanics
• Confederation College Instructors and Guest Speakers


Participant Support Funding, Transportation, Accommodations and Safety Equipment Provided

COVID-19 protocols will be in place

Open to AZA, Aroland and Ginoogaming members only
