Starting this month, the Trauma Program and Regional Injury Prevention at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre will be adding a new injury prevention initiative called 'Stop the Bleed' to its program roster. Become empowered to take action, in emergency situation, and possibly save a life!
This certified bleeding control course will be led by an experienced health care professional, certified in Stop the Bleed training with real life experience in applying these principles.
Who should take this course?
Public service workers, Emergency service workers, companies, corporate worksites, teachers, parents, construction workers, Conservation officers, health professionals, Camp Counselors, remote fly in resort workers, Forest fire fighters, and public citizens.
Bleeding emergencies can happen anywhere, and by many means. Instead of being a witness and unable to react, become a responder and be empowered cause you know how to stop the bleed. Be the life or death difference.
Empower citizens and public workers to first respond at the scene of a wounding to recognize and react to stop life threatening bleeding before professional help can arrive.
Train citizenry to quickly & effectively identify and react to severe bleeding.
