WHO: The Klondike Derby is currently open to Scouts BSA, Venturing and Sea Scouting youth.
WHAT: The Klondike Derby is the premier snow and winter camporee offered in the Transatlantic Council. We will again be hosted at the amazing Kandersteg International Scout Centre, located deep in the heart of the Swiss Alps.
WHEN: 16-19 January 2026 (Martin Luther King Holiday Weekend)

On Saturday, we host a fun, round-robin style competition between Patrols. Scouts compete in a variety of scout-skill inspired challenges to earn gold nuggets to win the Klondike Derby Trophy. We have a fantastic winter campfire where Patrols/Troops perform their best skits and songs.
On Sunday, Unit Leaders have the opportunity to take their Scouts on winter sports activities. Many options are available and can be arranged through the KISC team. The guided and self-guided activities are outlined on the KISC website located in the Klondike Derby Event Guide.
The Klondike Derby has something for everyone and is flexible to what you can accommodate. Are you only available for Saturday? Then just come for the day. Do you have Monday off for the MLK Holiday? Why not stay and enjoy the mountains for a little while longer with our 3-Night Option?
