Time to put your deck-building skills to the test and throw down in this Quarterly Commander Event, hosted right here at Dungeon Games!
1. What is a "Gauntlet"?
Great question! The Commander Gauntlet is a multi-round tournament that uses a points system to score each player’s performance in a variety of areas. (See the link below for the full point list.)

2. How Do We Determine Pods?
Players will be placed into 3–5 player pods, with the goal being pods of 4 or 3 players whenever possible. To determine seating, we will hand out random basic lands, which will assign you to a table.
3. How Many Rounds Will There Be?
The event consists of three rounds, with each round containing two games:
The first two rounds consist of four total games played in rotating pods.
The third and final round consists of the top 4 point earners from the first two rounds.
In the final round, points reset, and all four players will compete for their choice of prize support.
4. What Deck Restrictions Are There?
There are two deck restrictions to keep in mind:
Proxies:
You may NOT proxy any cards not on the Reserved List.
You may only use up to 10 total proxies.
Proxies must be handwritten on legitimate Magic cards.
Once revealed, they can be swapped out for the printed version you own.
Example: You write "Gaea’s Cradle" on a Forest. When you play that proxy, you swap it for your custom-printed Captain Planet-themed Gaea’s Cradle.
Sideboards:
You may have a sideboard of up to 15 total cards.
You will have a chance to use this sideboard before the first game (see below for details).
5. Any Special or Unusual Rules?
Yes! We’re adding a few unique mechanics to make this event even more exciting:
Pre-Game Sideboarding:
After being seated, before gameplay begins, you will reveal your general(s) to your opponents.
You will then have 5 minutes to sideboard as much as you want based only on what you know about their commander.
Turn Timers:
Each player will have a 5-minute sand timer.
At the start of their turn, they must flip their timer.
Once the timer runs out, their turn immediately ends (so play efficiently!).
6. What Makes This a Commander Party?
Glad you asked! Each table will have a random Commander Party or alternative game mechanic happening, so be prepared for twists!

Entry Cost: $45
Player Cap: 24 total players (reserve your spot early!)
Food: Entry includes pizza from Vincenzo’s and a drink—it’s going to be a long day!
Prizes – What’s on the Table?
The top 4 players in the final round will choose their prize from the following:

🏆 A Ghostflame Halo Craterhoof Behemoth (est val $120)
🏆 $120 Store Credit
Any prize can be exchanged for its value in store credit
