This year's theme, Caring for Our Shared America, is an inspiring call to action for a milestone year.Join the National Park Service and the Santa Monica Mountains Fund on Saturday, September 26, 2026 from 8:30am-1pm at Rancho Sierra Vista to help tend to trails, plant native vegetation in fire-impacted areas, plant work at the native plant nursery, collect and clean seed, and tidy up high-visited areas. No experience required, all are welcome!All volunteers who work for the entire duration of the event will receive a Fee-Free Pass which allows a single free entry into any federal public lands site, free lunch, and appreciations items!Be prepared for the day:Closed-toed shoes, sun protective layers, and a refillable water bottle are required at the event. Long pants, long sleeves, and a hat are strongly encouraged. We will supply tools, gloves, and training.
