The directions to the West Gravel Lakes Fishing Facility will take you past the Platte River Trailhead Park parking lot - please meet at that parking lot.More about SPBC: South Platte Birding Club creates community and celebrates the ecosystem of the South Platte River. We meet monthly, choosing a unique birding location along the river each time. Each outing begins with snacks, conversation, and a brief presentation about an aspect of the river. Outings vary from traditional bird walks to stationary birding, depending on the interest and needs of participants. Binoculars, spotting scopes, and field guides are provided.This club is meant for birders of all levels; Bird Conservancy will provide mentorship to new birders but also encourage the sharing of knowledge among all participants.Accessibility Information:Restrooms: There might be a port-a-potty but I have not confirmed thisWe will travel 1-2 miles on a flat, paved trail with little to no inclineAccessible parking is availableVery little shade!
