Pulled by one of our vintage diesel locomotives, this excursion departs from the historic Thomaston Station taking you on a 20-mile round trip through the Naugatuck River Valley! Passengers will have the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful scenery as the train glides over bridges and around curves, following the river between Thomaston and Waterbury.

All excursions will make a stop at Fascia’s Chocolate Factory, where passengers will be given time to disembark and visit the Chocolate Factory.

NEW for 2025, ALL departures will feature Coach Class, Naugatuck Lounge, Premium Coach, AND Retro Lounge.  Please visit the “Classes of Service” page for more information.  Advance reservations are strongly recommended!
