After Jo died, I started searching for a space like this.
He was my first real loss as an adult — and it changed everything in me.
No one around me seemed to understand how I felt.
I was surrounded by people who loved me, but it still felt so lonely.
Because if someone hasn’t walked through grief, they can love you deeply… but not get it.
I eventually found my way into Facebook grief groups — people who had lost siblings like I had.
And for the first time, I didn’t feel so alone.
I was a baby in the grieving process, and hearing from people at different stages in their journey helped me find words for things I couldn’t explain.
It helped me breathe again.
That’s why Soup for the Soul exists — for anyone searching for community in the quiet ache of loss.
A space to share, to be seen, and to find some kind of footing after tragedy.
