This year’s summer concert will be celebrating the choir’s roots with a selection of British music, some with international influences, reflecting the evolution from The British Choir to The Cecilia International Choir of The Hague with members from many different countries. Our concert title “All Awaits” beautifully encapsulates a moment of transition—bridging the legacy of the past with the limitless potential of what lies ahead.

Our programme includes The Beauty of the Earth and Gloria by John Rutter, who is internationally renowned for his melodic choral works and well-loved by choirs and audiences alike; Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Toward the Unknown Region, a beautiful and evocative setting to the words by the American poet Walt Whitman; A Hymn for St Cecilia and Like as the Hart, two celebrated choral anthems composed by Herbert Howells. We will also perform works by Gerald Finzi and Charles Villiers Stanford.

Conducted by Sanda Audere, the choir will be accompanied by the RBO Sinfonia and organist Bert Mooiman.
