Deze stijlen zijn tot op de dag van vandaag nog steeds zeer in trek, vooral in het noordelijke halfrond. De Bossa Nova ontstond in de jaren 50 uit de Samba die weer in de jaren 20 uit de Choro van eind 19e eeuw is voortgekomen. Grote vertegenwoordigers van deze stijlen zijn achtereenvolgend Jobim, Cartola en Pixinguinha. Overwegend zijn Choro's instrumentaal en Samba's en Bossa Nova's vocaal. Achter iedere stijl en compositie schuilt een verhaal dat zeker zal worden verteld. De teksten zijn heel poëtisch en gaan vaak over liefde in al haar facetten, muziek maar ook over politiek. Ons repertoire bestaat uit bekende stukken. Ook uit minder bekende stukken die zeer de moeite waard zijn. Naast bestaande stukken spelen zij ook eigen materiaal in deze stijlen. Gezien het feit dat het volume van onze muziek zacht is, is de sfeer overwegend intiem maar ook heel swingend. We hopen dat daar rekening mee wordt gehouden. Vóór de pauze spelen Durk Hijma en ik ons repertoire. Het is altijd leuk om na de pauze in combinatie met ons programma met ons mee te spelen. Neem dan contact met ons op via deze pagina.
