The Colony’s Liberty By The Lake – July 4th Celebration is back for it's 28th year!
A Full Day of Fun, Freedom, and Fireworks!
Get ready to celebrate America's birthday The Colony style with a full day of red, white, and blue festivities at Liberty By The Lake! This annual July 4th tradition brings the whole community together for a star-spangled lineup of fun — from sunrise to fireworks finale!
🎽 Start your day off strong with the 39th Annual Liberty 5K & Fun Run at scenic Stewart Creek Park! Set your alarms and lace up your sneakers — the race kicks off at 7:15 AM with breathtaking views along the shoreline of Lewisville Lake. Be sure to register if you haven't already -

🎉 Then at 10 AM, gather your flags and find your spot for our Independence Day Parade! This community-favorite rolls down Blair Oaks Drive to The Colony High School, featuring decked-out floats, decorated vehicles, marching groups, and plenty of patriotic flair from businesses and citizens across the city! Come see all the fun floats OR sign yourself and your friends and family up to participate -

🎡 After a midday break, the real party starts at 6 PM with our Liberty By The Lake Festival at The Colony Recreation Center! Get ready for:
🎶 Live music from Intensity Bands
🎪 Rides, games, and inflatables
🤼♂️ Lucha Libre wrestling performances
🍉 A good ol’ fashioned watermelon eating contest (Sign up at

For safety reasons, personal grills, personal coolers and glass containers are not allowed to be brought into The Athletic Club for Liberty By The Lake on July 4th.
