May 2 from 8 a.m. to NoonCheck in begins at 7:30 a.m. or 20 minutes before your chosen time.Registration Price: $40 per team. (Team is of two males or two females)Must be 18 years or older to participate.Only one partner needs to sign up for a time slot.Both teammates get a t-shirt after they complete the challengeYou must watch the tutorial video.EAC Students get to participate for free! Please register with your Student Promo Code.If you don't know the code go to the Student Life Office, or email mprticketing@eac.edu with your student email.Please Note:If listed timeslots fill up more will be added.Divisions for Teams are Male and Female, there are no Co-Ed Teams.Things to knowAll participants need to be present 20 minutes before their start time.Judges will be helping participants throughout the course, making sure they are performing all standards correctly.If participating for fun, then standards can be scaled. If you are competing and choose to run the course more than once, your first time will be the time that is counted.There will be some water involved so please dress appropriately and wear sunblock. Make sure you hydrate well the day before the race. A medical station will be on site.Your team can dress up in fun or matching costumes! Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams who choose to compete and for the best dressed partners.You must watch the tutorial video before signing up.Tutorial Video:https://youtu.be/QLA8Qn1QnAQhttps://youtu.be/QLA8Qn1QnAQMonster Challenge Obstacle StandardsROWING & PLATE HOLD Each partner will row 10 calories for females and 15 calories for males. While one partner is rowing the other will be holding a plate overhead. The plate must be held above their head and cannot touch their head. Partners will switch once the first 10/15 calories are reached. The rower must be set to zero before the next partner can start to row. The person rowing cannot leave the rower until it shows the calories needed. Each time a partner lowers the plate or touches their head with the plate the other partner must stop rowing. They cannot continue to row until their partner is back into position with the plate over their head.ROPE CLIMB One partner will start by putting both feet on top of two plates at the base of the rope. Standing up straight they will grab the rope at the chest then lower themselves with the rope until their back and shoulders hit the ground. Once they have hit the ground, they will climb back up the rope to a standing position. Each partner will do it three times doing it in any order. Legs must stay straight.FARMER CARRY One partner will pick up a set of dumbbells and take them down the lane and bring them back and drop them just past the line. The next partner will grab them and run them back down and back then drop them where they started. They will run down the lane to the next obstacle.MED BALL THROW One partner will throw the med ball down their lane then over the hurdle and crawl under the hurdle and continue down and back. The next partner will do the same. The ball cannot be rolled down the lane, only thrown.100 JUMP ROPE A total of 100 reps is to be completed by both partners. Reps can be broken up in any way.PARTNER DEADLIFT Partners will both hold the bar and together complete 20 deadlifts at the same time. Weight must touch the ground between reps and both partners stand tall and lock out together at the top of the movement.TIRE FLIPS The tire must be flipped down the lane to the line then back. They can be flipped by both partners at the same time or individually. Both partners must move along with the tire whether they are flipping it or not. Tires cannot be rolled or pushed. The tire must be back to the starting position before they can advance to the next obstacle.SLED PUSH One partner will push the sled down the lane, turn it around and push it back and turn it around. They will switch with their partner, and they will do the same. The sled must be turned and put back into the starting position before they can advance to the next obstacle.COLD DUNK Each partner will sit in the trough until everything but their head is covered in water. Once immersed, they must find 5 marbles and put them in the bucket that their partner will be holding. They will switch and the next partner will sit in the tank and retrieve 5 more marbles and put them in the bucket. A total of 10 marbles should be in the bucket before the partners can advance.SLIP N SLIDE Both partners must slide down to the end of the tarp. They must stay on their bellies, using their arms to progress or they can be on their hands and knees to get to the end but they CANNOT stand up on the tarp.
