Make a Willow Onion Basket

Join Judith Needham for a great introduction to the fascinating craft of basket making.

Using natural willow harvested in Somerset, you will construct an open weave hanging basket with a choice of handle, learning lots of interesting techniques along the way.

The basket is perfect for storing onions or garlic in the kitchen, but could equally be used as a bird feeder or for craft supplies. Fast workers may have time to make two baskets.

Who is the tutor?
Judith Needham is a basket maker and creator of extraordinary woven willow playhouses and dens for all ages. She is based in England's Craft Town - Farnham, Surrey and teaches basket making and willow weaving across Surrey, Hampshire and West Berkshire.
