- **Event Description**: Welcome to Tewkesbury's Gong Bath and Sound Meditation!

Sound Baths are gaining popularity and selling out across the country as the new way to deeply relax and de-stress. 
You simply lie back fully clothed on a yoga mat with cushions and a blanket and let all your worries melt away to the blissful sounds and vibrations of the sacred gong , Tibetan bowls , Quartz crystal singing bowls , Harmonic chimes and other restful instruments.

These sounds take you into a deep state of meditation which allows the body, mind and emotions to relax and rest. The vibrations work down to a cellular level giving what is known as a 'sonic massage' removing energy blockages and helping to re balance the body.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

Dress warmly in layers. You will need a yoga or air mat to lie on , a cushion for your head (and under your knees if you wish) and a cosy blanket to lay over you as your body temp can drop during deep meditation. You may need extra underneath you in the Winter months such as an extra blanket, double layer mat or sleeping bag.
If you have trouble with lying on the floor you are welcome to bring a garden recliner chair to lie back in. 
A bottle of water.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

This 90 minute session costs £16.50 and can be booked via the ticket tab on the event info. 

(I do not give refunds or transfers if you can longer attend. However, you are welcome to pass on/sell your ticket to someone else - please advise me of any change of name of person attending in your place. If I cancel the session due to illness/Covid-19 then I will refund all ticket holders in full)

Ashchurch Village Hall along the main A46 from Tewkesbury to Aston Cross. Plenty of free parking on site.

WHAT TIME?

Doors open at 7.15 pm for a 7.30 start. Please wait in your car if you are early. Once the doors are closed we can't admit late comers as it will disturb the meditation.

Ladies in the first trimester of pregnancy 
People with pacemakers and other electrical implants or untreated heart conditions
People with a serious mental illness or who have a history of psychosis
People who suffer from epilepsy.

I am frequently asked if this is suitable for people suffering from anxiety and depression and the general answer is absolutely ! It is an excellent therapy for anxiety and depression and learning to quiet the mind. However, it may not be suitable for those dealing with serious grief or trauma as the sounds can trigger a healing response which is more appropriately handled during a private 1-2-1 session. Please use your inner guidance .
