Flamenco Express Thirtieth Anniversary Tour
Flamenco is as universal, powerful and versatile as any establishment artform. Flamenco Express delivers it to Tewkesbury for our 8th visit. On yet another St George’s Day.
For thirty years, Flamenco Express has existed to do justice to this unique art by allowing its guests total freedom of expression. A display of Human values in an age of intimidation and fear. The music of vagrants and refugees. By hosting it on St George's Day, The Roses is able to make a statement about the universality of theatre. Flamenco is the art of pure Freedom and Pride. Not domination and exclusion. St George was martyred by intolerant Romans. His flag represents Christian tolerance, as does flamenco.
After a row of full-houses, master of power and grace Victor Fernández returns tonight, hot from the hottest Madrid stages. Plus of course ‘sizzling soloist’ La Joaquina, guitar virtuoso Chris Clavo, the massive vocal presence of Antonio El Pola, plus the bonus of irrepressible Queen of song Jasmine Villalobos.
