For those considering bringing children along, please note the following before booking:Leaving the walk early is not desireable as the reserve will be dark, please ensure you are able to stay until the end, which is approximately 9.30pm (a little later if we find lots of bats!)In order for all participants to hear the bat detectors, all attendees need to be able to remain quiet and listen closelyAs part of the walk will be in the dark, please ensure your child is able to walk (not run) with you at all times.Please meet in the main car park ready to start at 8pm. We will walk around the reserve, looking out for and listening for bats along the way. We will have a number of bat detectors available to use on the night, shared between the group. These are kindly being provided by Gloucestershire Bat GroupPlease bring a torch if you have one as it will be dark by the end of the session. We recommend separate torches to those available on most mobile photos.Young people under the age of 18 are welcome when accompanied by a parent of guardian. There is a suggested minimum age of 6 years, but as long as you are happy with the information provided, any ages are welcome. A reasonable level of mobility will be required due to the terrain and low light levels.This event is free to all. However, if you would like to make a donation this can be done by cash or card. Donations will be split 50:50 between Tewkesbury Nature Reserve and Evesham Bat Care. Please note: numbers are strictly limited and this event is always popular. Every attendee needs a free ticket (adults and children) and extra guests will be turned away. Please do not show up if you don't have a ticket.
