Speaker: Carol Musgrave – TUPP
As the Co-ordinator of Terrigal Uniting Church Permaculture Patch (TUPP) since 2023 Carol has been working with a group of dedicated gardeners from the community and the church with a shared vision of care for the earth & sustainability to get the Patch established. Before moving to the coast in 2023 after retirement, she was the co-ordinator of Quakers Hill Uniting Community Garden for 11 years. She is an empty nester, a parent of 4 adult children and 7 grandchildren and in her working life was an occupational therapist and Family Support Co-ordinator, working with vulnerable families in the Hawkesbury Region. She is a fan of native gardens, loves bike riding through bush trails and playing tennis. Having seen how organic gardening with others can be a conduit through which people’s needs for community and a healthy green environment can be met, her passion for developing community and sustainable care for the environment informs her leadership of the team at TUPP.

Speaker: Richard Harris - Repair Cafe 
I have been interested in Permaculture for 30+ years, where I have always tried to have a small vegetable garden wherever I have lived, normally based around a chicken tractor. In recent times I have started learning about regenerative agriculture and my wife and I are trying to put our learning in to practice on a farm we have recently acquired. I have worked for the Uniting Church for 35 years and have been the minister here at Terrigal Uniting Church for the last 15 years. My Christian faith and care for the environment have always been strongly integrated. I was a part of the team that set up the repair café, which has now been running for the past 5 years.

I am 75yrs old
Married with 2 daughters and 4 grandchildren 
I was born in Gloucestershire UK
Did an engineering apprenticeship with a local company 
Left the UK in 1978 for Australia 
Married in 1981 moving to Penrith and then to Orange NSW
Spent most of my career in Australia working for Nestle in their pet food division running packaging projects both here and abroad 
I retired in 2014 moving to Terrigal
Joined the Men’s Shed in 2016 where I’m now the Secretary 
At the moment I’m implementing a project at the Men’s Shed to improve the workshop 
I’m also in a local bush walking group who meet once a week March to November
