This 4-week Homeschool Art Club is designed for teens ages 12–16 who want to build strong drawing skills in a calm, focused studio environment. This session runs February 4–25 and focuses on foundational drawing techniques using graphite and charcoal.

Students will learn how to observe carefully, understand light and shadow, and develop confidence with line, value, and proportion. Each week builds on the last, allowing students time to slow down, practice intentionally, and grow their skills without pressure or comparison.

This is a small-group, skill-focused class — ideal for homeschool students who enjoy art and want a more in-depth experience than a general kids’ class.

Week 1: Drawing Foundations
Line quality, pressure control, posture, and basic observational drawing.

Week 2: Value & Shading
Understanding light and shadow, blending techniques, and creating form through value.

Week 3: Working with Charcoal
Exploring charcoal techniques to create contrast, depth, and expressive mark-making.

Week 4: Finished Drawing Project
A refined graphite and charcoal drawing that brings together all skills learned throughout the session.

Each student receives a **Drawing Foundations Materials Kit** to use in class and keep for at-home practice.

Kit includes:

* Zipper art bag
* Graphite pencils
* Charcoal pencil
* Kneaded eraser
* Blending stump

All additional paper and in-class materials are provided.
