We will all meet at Ferry Island by the public washrooms/play ground area (past the first parking lot, drive through the yellow gate until you see the public washroom building and playground). 

From there, after everyone has arrived, Laverne and Mitchell will take you on a Plant Spirit Medicine walk about, showing you the different plants local to our area, discussing and sharing their traditional medicinal uses & properties of the plants. 

You will receive information about the plants and their benefits, as well as hands on knowledge of how the plants present and feel.  You are welcome to take pictures of what you find along the walk about, as well as take notes as you go. 

This walk about will be about 2 hours long, and is a perfect outing for families or anyone interested in learning about our local plants, their spirit, their medicinal benefits and for food sourcing. If you are already camping at Ferry Island with your kids, this is a great opportunity to teach our children about the power and medicines in Mother Nature. 

The cost of this event is: 

$30/Family Group (2 adults/2 kids) or $20/Individual
