Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD) is one of the most commonly diagnosed disorders in children and adolescents. It is also one of the most commonly misdiagnosed and misunderstood disorders affecting both children and adults. In this talk, we will delve into the signs and symptoms of ADHD, as well as other comorbid disorders, the critical concept of executive functions, procrastination, and what ADHD really feels like. Lastly, we will cover some of the different treatments, strategies, and approaches that can be effective in helping individuals with ADHD manage their executive functioning difficulties.

About the presenter: Ashley M. Zultanky, Psy.D. is a clinical psychologist and a certified school psychologist in New Jersey. Dr. Zultanky’s clinical specialty is in the field of sport psychology, and she seeks to improve sport performance for the individual athlete as well as the team. Dr. Zultanky has treated individuals presenting with difficulties related to depression, anxiety, ADHD, executive dysfunction, sport performance, adjustment issues, anger issues, complicated bereavement, chronic illness, history of trauma, and substance abuse. She has led social skills training groups for a variety of ages. Dr. Zultanky’s clinical focus is to encourage individuals to consciously adjust the lens through which they view life and circumstances and move in a value-consistent direction to reduce suffering. She uses experiential exercises and present-moment awareness to increase psychological flexibility and frustration tolerance. She also has years of experience conducting  individual and group therapy from an evidence-based framework with an emphasis on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) strategies.
