- **Event Name**: Rocking Central Idaho
- **Event Start and End Date**: Thu, 31 Jul, 2025 at 04:00 pm
- **Event Description**: We have a workshop you do NOT want to miss! Allen Marquette will be returning to The Dusty Mule for a very interesting and informative evening outdoors under the canopy.
Have you ever wondered what that rock was that you picked up 20 years ago while on a hike? Or, how about learning what that unusually colored or textured rock was that you found in the river last summer?

Join Allen Marquette, for a few hours to learn what rocks, minerals and fossils you are likely to find in Lemhi and Custer Counties. Feel free to bring a rock specimen or two to get them identified. Or, bring a small rock (smaller than a tennis ball) and he can cut it open on his diamond saw to see what’s inside!

Allen will also bring specimens of local agates, jaspers, geodes, petrified wood, common opals and 20 million year old fossil plants and 400 million fossil corals, found in the Pahsimeroi Valley!

He will also have free maps for those interested in exploring the areas around Lemhi and Custer Counties…

Show up at The Dusty Mule on July 31 at 4pm, under the canopy outside, for a memorable and interesting hands on workshop! This is free of charge but there will be donation jars if you're so inclined.
