NUTS 2017 Annual General Meeting

Dear NUTS members,

Notice is hereby given of the NUTS 2017 AGM.

The meeting will take place on Friday 6th October at 4pm in Law Building G17. Light refreshments (snacks, snacks, snacks) will be provided.

The agenda is as follows:
- Apologies
- Constitutional amendments (no Constitutional amendments have been submitted at this time)
- Treasurer’s report
- President’s report
- Election of 2018 committee (see below)
- Business without notice

If you would like to propose a constitutional amendment, please email it to committee | nuts ! org ! au by Friday September 29th, 5pm. The NUTS constitution can be found here: https://goo.gl/UdYh5D

If you wish to add an item to the agenda, please email it to secretary | nuts ! org ! au by Friday September 29th, 5pm.

Only full (paid 2017) members are able to vote and participate in the AGM.

2018 Committee Elections

The following committee roles are open for nomination and election at the AGM:
- President
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Arc Delegate
- Technical and Backstage Officer
- Costume and Properties Officer
- Events Officer
- Events Officer
- Publicity Officer
- Publicity Officer

To nominate yourself for one of these positions please email committee | nuts ! org ! au by Friday September 29th, 5pm. You may nominate yourself for multiple positions, however candidates are only eligible to be elected for one position.

Voting will take place at the meeting, with only members present at the time of the election able to participate (i.e. there is no proxy voting). Each candidate will have 3 minutes to speak as to why they are suited for the position, and if they are unable to make the meeting, the President (Casuarina O’Brien) will read a prepared statement. Voting is by secret, optional preferential ballot, and a current committee member who is not running for any position will be nominated to count votes. In the case of only one candidate for a position, a vote of confidence (Yes/No) will take place.

Following the election of these positions, members of committee that is not the President, Secretary or Treasurer can nominate themselves to be elected in three further positions, Vice-President, and two (2) Grievance Officers.
