It's been a while since we've set up an airdasher monthly, but we're back with the hope to consistently have it as a monthly event! UNiST recently came out on consoles and there's plenty of awesome looking ASW games on the horizon this next year. So stop on by, have a great time hanging out and playing casuals, level up, and try your luck in a tournament or two! There's also a high likelyhood of puyo puyo tetris being present throughout the day, so get hype for puzzle games!
This, as per usual, will be a FREE event. No money is involved with admission or entering tournaments. There aren't any tournament pots or prizes. However, this doesn't mean you should slack off in tourney. Help your fellow AZ players level up and give it your all!
September 9, 2017
University of Advancing Technology (UAT) - 2625 W. Baseline Rd, Tempe, AZ 85283.
The event will be in either room 201 or room 207, on the second floor of the main building. We're generally noisy so just follow the sounds of sticks and games and be sure you go to the main building (the one closest to Baseline Rd.)
I will be there by 1:30pm setting up. Feel free to stop by then for casuals before the first tournament, and throughout the day.
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO BRING SETUPS FOR CASUALS. The more the merrier.
I also created a new challonge page to store all further event brackets - http://azairdashers.challonge.com
You can find the older brackets here - http://challonge.com/users/bearell
-3:00pm, Blazblue: Central Fiction [PS3/PS4]
*signups end at 2:50pm
-5:00pm, Guilty Gear Xrd -Revelator- [PS3/PS4]
*signups end at 4:50pm
-7:00pm, UNDER NIGHT IN-BIRTH Exe:Late[st] [PS3/PS4]
*signups end at 6:50pm
Please show up early for the tournament(s) you plan on entering so I can set up the brackets and ensure it runs somewhat smoothly. If you show up after the tournament starts and the bracket has been finalized, there wont be anything I can do.
If you know you will be running late, please notify me on this event page or @ me in the Discord chat and I will add you into the bracket. You will forfeit any matches that you are not present for if your match is holding up the bracket. PLEASE BE ON TIME!
FORMAT/RULES (all tournaments):
-matches are 2 out of 3 wins
-Winners, Losers, and Grand Finals are 3 out of 5 wins
-winner of a match must keep the same character; loser is allowed to switch characters.
-regarding disconnecting controllers, paused matches, etc. it's up to the players what happens. I don't think anyone here is going to make a scene because your controller disconnected, especially since there's no money on the line.
*Due to high demand from previous events, and following suit with TGZ's formula, winners and losers finals have been changed to be 3/5 sets.
I hope to see a good turnout! It should be fun!
If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.
