HOMOWO FESTIVAL DISPLAY BY BASIC ONE LEARNERS

Basic 1 learners will role play and bring to live the Homowo festival to conclude their RME lessons on the Strand : Religious Festivals in the three main religions in Ghana🇬🇭.

*Lesson Objectives*
By the end of the lesson, learners will be able to:

📍Identify the Ga people as the celebrants and explain that Homowo means "hooting at hunger."

📍Describe the story of the famine followed by the eventual abundance of food.

📍Recognize cultural symbols, specifically Kpokpoi and the act of sprinkling food to honor ancestors.
