University Centre Telford is offering a free, fun and informative workshop on human anatomy for parents and children aged 7 - 14
Why not come along to University Centre Telford for a workshop which will explore the human anatomy and the organs’ functions using medical models?
The workshop will be run by staff from the University of Wolverhampton’s STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) Team.
It will look at KS2 curriculum themes (for ages 7 – 11 years) which include how the skeleton and muscles are used for support, protection and movement. It will describe the simple functions of the human digestive system, identify the main part of the human circulation system and the function of the heart, blood vessels and blood.
For KS3 students ( for ages 11 – 14) it will also look at the structure, function and biomechanics of the skeletal and muscular system, the organs, tissues and bacteria of the digestive system, the structure and function of the respiratory system and the structure of the reproductive system.
