- **Event Description**: A spectacular Wrekin hill top walk up Shropshire's iconic hill from Ercall Lane. 7miles / 11.3km, from The Ercall, we walk past the reservoir, then a gradual ascent through lower slopes of the Wrekin woods and then make a final steeper ascent to the summit from the quieter side. Finally a walk through the woods and across the golf course where we may spot the deer if we are lucky. The total ascent is 1472 ft/449 m, including a short steep path with mainly tree roots, sturdy boots are needed and a pole is recommended, (we'll put in a short rest stops for everyone to get your breath back). Brilliant views, weather permitting. Everyone welcome, members, new walkers and non members. We leave 10am from the car park, just over the motorway bridge on the left.
