Christmas Willow Wreath Workshop

Get in the festive spirit and learn to create your very own Christmas wreath. You will work with locally harvested willow and foraged materials to weave a beautiful - and unique - natural wreath. Once you have created your willow base you can decorate with greenery, berries and other materials. If you have any special decorations you would like to add you can bring them along too!

The workshop will be held at the Severn Gorge Countryside Trust Office. All equipment and materials will be provided. Drinks (and maybe a mince pie!) will be available for participants.

Workshop Tutor - Amber Bicheno

Amber works at the Trust as the Volunteer and Community Officer. She has worked in outdoor education and conservation for many years and has a passion for the natural world. She has lead groups making wreaths in different locations the past 4 winters and loves seeing everyone's unique take on this classic Christmas decoration.

Severn Gorge Countryside Trust

This workshop is being hosted by the Severn Gorge Countryside Trust, a local charity.

The Trust’s aim is to promote, protect and conserve the living landscape of the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site, which has a diverse range of habitats, including wildflower meadows, woodlands and heathlands. But that’s not all! We maintain over 20 kilometres of footpaths, conserve and protect 60 historic structures, run exciting Outdoor Learning and Volunteering Programmes to encourage local people and visitors to engage with the natural environment in a variety of ways.

All proceeds from this workshop will support the work of the Severn Gorge Countryside Trust.
