Pomodoro-style (
https://www.lesswrong.com/w/pomodoro-technique) coworking session at Migdal Shalom by Unitraining Israel - combining working and socializing!
⏰We meet from 10:30 unttill 11. We will write the lists of our daily goals and start working at 11, finishing by 5pm.
🧭50min work + 10 min breaks, a bigger break in the middle.
DM Maria (0587550720) if you want to come
You can now only arrive either strictly before the event begins or during the BREAK between pomodoros. That means you can come either from 10:30 to 11:00, or from 12:00 to 12:10, from 13:00 to 13:10, or during lunch. There’s not much point in arriving after lunch, but if you really want to, you can.
A reminder that we try not to schedule calls for this day, but if necessary there is a call room where you can step away to take a call. Also, we try not to make the organizer’s life more difficult by carefully keeping our natural human tendency toward chaos in check 🙂
Pomodoro schedule:
10:30–11:00 — ARRIVAL
11:00–11:10 — writing down and announcing plans for the working day
11:10–12:00 — first pomodoro
12:00–12:10 — BREAK
12:10–13:00 — second pomodoro
13:00–14:00 — LUNCH
At lunch, we get food from “Sumsum,” eat in the office, and then go for coffee at one of the nearby cafés
14:10–15:00 — third pomodoro
15:10–16:00 — fourth pomodoro
— wrap-up
16:10–17:00 — bonus pomodoro for those who wish
I would also really appreciate your help in keeping the space tidy. We don’t have a cleaner, so if it’s not too much trouble, please:
try not to leave any trash behind (plates with food, snack wrappers)
if you see someone else’s trash, take it with you and throw it in the bin on the first floor
if there’s no bag in the trash can, please put one in. The bags are on the fridge — they’re a bit small, but that’s what we have
if you want to drink water and all the cups are in the dirty-cups box, please wash a cup in the restroom
If you’d like, I can also adapt this into a more formal / more playful / shorter version for a specific audience.
