The Tehachapi Symphony Orchestra directed by Dr. David Newby, the Tehachapi Symphonic Chorus directed by Sandy Adams, the Antelope Valley Master Chorale directed by Dr. Newby, and the Tehachapi High School and Junior High Choirs directed by Molly Bolewski present their holiday concert on Friday, December 5, 2025 at Country Oaks Baptist Church located at 20915 Schout Road, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
The program includes The Messiah, composed by George Friderich Handel and “Christmas Day, Choral Fantasy on Old Carols” by Gustav Holst.Besides joining in the Hallelujah Chorus, the High School Choir will perform several holiday carols.
Symphonic chorus chorusmaster Sandy Adams earned her Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology in 1984, along with a minor in music. In 1987, she was hired as worship director at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Agoura, CA., and served for 17 years. While raising their two daughters with her husband in Agoura. Following her husband’s retirement they moved to Bear Valley Springs where Sandy then served for 3 years as worship coordinator at Bear Valley Church. Enjoying several hobbies, including authoring a handful of books, trail running, endurance riding, and making home grown wine with her husband, she has been conducting TSC now for several years. This is her 5th year.
Molly Bolewski is a music educator with eight years of experience teaching middle and high school choir, band, and general music. Molly holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Belmont University and a Master’s degree in Music Education from the University of the Pacific. Molly is an active member of CCDA, CBDA, and NAfME, contributing to the broader music education community. In 2019, she was honored as Teacher of the Year and was a finalist for the Southwestern Advantage Teacher Impact Award. Molly lives in Tehachapi with her husband and two kids. She currently teaches at Tehachapi High School, where she is committed to cultivating musical excellence and building a vibrant arts community.
There will be a silent auction before the concert and during the intermission and a reception following the concert that will allow audience members to enjoy refreshments and to meet the conductors, soloists, and musicians. There will also be TSO merchandise for sale.
