Gather to Give is a series of FREE events where participants will learn how to make and collectively create port pillows. A port pillow is a small pillow that attaches to a car’s seatbelt to protect and cushion a chemotherapy port. The ports can be very painful to the touch. The port pillow shields the port from pain, pressure, and rubbing during car rides. These pillows can be easily knitted, crocheted or sewn.Join us Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at the Tecumseh Musgrove + Company location (135 E. Chicago Blvd., Tecumseh) from 5-7pm. We will have a tutorial on how to knit and crochet these pillows, and then we will enjoy a cozy night together as we work on our projects. This is a very simple pattern, only basic-level knitting or crochet skillset is needed.You are encouraged to bring your favorite yarn color. However, if your yarn stash is getting low, we will have an assortment of yarns available for use. You will need to bring your own needles and hooks. Note that our yarn is mainly worsted weight, so please plan your needle and hook size accordingly.All donations can be dropped off at both the Adrian and Tecumseh Musgrove + Company locations (135 E Chicago Blvd., Tecumseh and 110 West Maumee St., Adrian).
