Stanley Jordan is coming to Tazewell, Virginia on August 28.

Stanley is a four-time Grammy-nominated guitarist whose groundbreaking album Magic Touch spent an incredible 51 weeks at #1 on Billboard’s jazz chart.

Over a career spanning more than four decades, he has performed around the world and crossed paths musically with some names you might recognize. Let's start with Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Dave Matthews Band and Phil Lesh of the Grateful Dead, among others.

And Deadheads, this part is for you.

Stanley became a frequent guest with Phil Lesh & Friends and eventually created Stanley Plays The Dead, bringing his extraordinary style to the music of Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead.

You may have seen him without even realizing it.

Stanley appeared alongside Bruce Willis and Kim Basinger in the movie Blind Date and has appeared on some of the biggest television stages in America, including Johnny Carson, David Letterman and the Grammy Awards.

But here's the part that a list of names and accolades can't really explain...

You have to WATCH this man play a guitar.

Stanley developed a revolutionary two-handed “touch” technique that changed what people thought was possible on the instrument. Watching his two hands work independently across the fretboard can almost make you forget you're watching one person with one guitar.

And on August 28, we aren't watching him from across a festival field or the back of a big theater.

We're bringing him right here to the mountains.
