- **Event Description**: Join us for our annual Kicks for Kids event! The parent(s)/guardian(s) of local children attending Memorial school (3rd grade) are invited to apply. This application, once approved by the Kicks for Kids committee, entitles the chosen families to receive a pair of shoes per child at no cost. We also provide a new pair of socks, a stocking cap, a warm pair of gloves and occasionally a matching scarf per child at no charge to the families.
Volunteers are needed to help this event to be a success! Please show up about 30 minutes before the event to be briefed. Your responsibilities will include selecting a family to help shop. You will receive one sticky note per child with the child's name & shoe size. Start by helping them remove their old shoes and socks and getting them into a new pair of socks. You will have to talk with each child and their parent(s)/guardian(s) to find the ideal shoes for them! Shoe Sensation & WISE will set a max price per pair of shoes (some exceptions may apply), so be sure to keep this limit in mind while shopping! After the shoes have been selected, you'll simply take them up to the counter for the family. Then be sure each kid selects their winter accessories. This process will continue until all of our applicants have been fulfilled. This volunteer experience is exceptionally rewarding, and we hope you will join us this year to make it as successful as ever before!

Please note that individuals are not required to be a member to attend ANY of our meetings or events, and our organization accepts all genders as long as you desire to support local women!
