SierraCon 2026

On 27 February 2026, the Sierra Madre Conservation Society (SierraPH) will convene SierraCon 2026, a public forum at the University of the Philippines Los Baños bringing together researchers, practitioners, students, and community leaders.

Anchored on the theme
“Mountains of Meaning: Science, Society, and Solutions for a Resilient Philippines,”

SierraCon examines the role of mountain ecosystems in biodiversity conservation, water security, disaster risk reduction, and cultural stewardship.

This inaugural event marks the beginning of SierraPH’s long-term effort to strengthen science-informed, community-centered conservation in the Philippines.
