A week from now, we’ll climb just a little above town — far enough to feel the air change, close enough to still feel held by home.
Our next Tea, Trees & Poetry Gathering will take place on a sunlit hilltop above Whakatāne — long, soft grass to sink into, trees offering gentle shade, and a horizon to dream away...
When: Saturday, December 13, 2025 3pm–5pm
Where: Te Päpaka hilltop (park at the parking lot right above town if coming by car)
Walk: ~5 minutes — a little steep, very doable
Bring: Tea with a cup or thermos, something to sit on, and a poem if you’d like
As always, this gathering is about slowing down — sharing poetry, warm conversation, and quiet moments together beneath the open sky.
There’s no pressure to share; you’re just as welcome to listen, rest, and take it all in.
If December has already been feeling full, consider this your gentle permission slip to pause.
